DAIICHI 3111 Boss Octopus Hook

This improved O’Shaughnessy hook features a short shank and a curved beak point and is offset. The short shank means there is less leverage as a large fish bites down on the hook shank. The offset is a popular technique used to increase hook-ups and many saltwater anglers prefer the curved point claiming better hook-ups.

The hooks are made of the finest high-carbon steel, which is hardened and tempered to an exacting formula that makes for a long point life and a very strong hook. Daiichi hooks use a 12-degree constant taper ground needle point. This eliminates irregularities in shape, assuring no weak spots, and gives amazing speed of penetration.
