Bassetts Stonefly
Product Description
An excellent pattern for sight fishing in the New Zealand backcountry, especially early and late in the season when trout will often move several metres to take it. The single-bead version is ideal for sight nymphing or fishing beneath a larger dry fly in shallower riffles and runs.
The double-bead version is perfect for probing deeper runs and pools, often tempting large trout hiding beneath faster currents. It excels for Euro nymphing in stonefly-rich waters or as a larger attractor to carry a smaller nymph to depth.
